A staple on the corner of Main and Bridge in Margaretville since 2014.
We’re Jess and Jake Olenych, proud owners and operators. We both grew up right here in the Catskills - Jess in Arkville, Jake in Bovina.
We opened the store in 2014 as a kitchen basics store. We had a different name back then, but we did a massive pandemic pivot and now we’re The Kitchen Cheetah!
When we’re not at the shop, you can find us at home in our garden playing with our dogs - Mikey and Poppy.
Why the Kitchen Cheetah?
When Jake and I first met in 2002, the joke was that we did EVERYTHING really fast or what eventually became “quick like a cheetah.”
When we got married, we engraved our wedding rings with our nicknames - mine being The Kitchen Cheetah. When we founded the business in 2014, we thought, what a great name for a kitchen store!
So, in 2024 as part of our pandemic pivot, we decided to lean in to our name - new logo, 10 years in business and we bought the building and The Kitchen Cheetah was born.
We are a true family effort. You’ll find my Mom, Carmel and my Dad, Brian in the store many days doing everything from baking scones to ringing up customers.
